Lois PittmanPhoto – Pittman's LinkedIn accountThe South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) has appointed Lois Pittman director of operations and maintenance.
She will lead the team charged with oversight of the Tri-Rail commuter-rail system, which will include operations and maintenance providers and contracts, agency officials said in a press release.
Pittman also will oversee station and fleet maintenance, and help ensure special and capital rehab projects are completed on time and within budget.
Pittman — who joined the agency in April 2017 as manager of operations and maintenance — has more than 20 years of experience in transportation, including stints at Norfolk Southern Railway, CN and the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
Before joining SFRTA, she was CTA's rail transportation manager.
