CSX taps Bezar to serve as senior VP, chief of strategy

CSX Corp. has appointed Farrukh Bezar senior vice president and chief strategy officer as of May 29.

Bezar joins CSX with more than 25 years of strategic leadership in transportation and logistics. Most recently, he served as founder and managing partner of Lynwood Partners, a transportation and logistics advisory firm.

Bezar also has held senior leadership positions in the transportation and logistics functions at Clarendon, Booz Allen Hamilton and A.T. Kearney. Additionally, he served in sales and marketing roles at the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co.

“Farrukh’s tremendous depth of experience will enable us to accelerate the development and execution of initiatives that address our customers’ transportation needs and drive profitable, sustained growth for our organization,” said CSX President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Foote in a press release.
