The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has appointed Bryan Sastokas chief information officer.
Currently, Sastokas is CIO and head of technology and innovation for the city of Long Beach, California. His previous positions include CIO for the cities of Oakland and Modesto, California, as well as Coral Springs, Florida.
Sastokas' first day at Metro will be April 9. He will oversee the agency's information and technology unit with a $65.2 million annual budget and 147 full-time employees.
"[Sastokas] brings a demonstrated track record of harnessing innovation while building and deploying products, services and infrastructure that support our business needs," said Metro Chief Executive Officer Phillip Washington in a press release.
