Cincinnati streetcar to mark second anniversary

The Cincinnati Bell Connector streetcar system on Sept. 9 will mark its second anniversary.
As of Aug. 19, the 3.6-mile system had logged 1,221,606 trips since it opened, according to ridership statistics from the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority (SORTA).
"We've seen an increase in ridership during the weekday peak periods as service reliability and on-time performance has improved," said SORTA spokeswoman Brandy Jones in an email. "Weekends and special events continue to yield high ridership as well."
Two-hour passes on the Cincinnati Bell Connector cost $1, while all-day passes are $2. The system is operated by Transdev.
