Parrish & Heimbecker (P&H) is planning upgrades to its facilities in Quill Lake, Saskatchewan.

P&H will be increasing its existing 50-car spot to accommodate 100 rail cars from CN in one spot. This upgrade will allow the company to clear twice as much grain out of the facility, according to a news release.

Construction will begin this month with a completion date of November.

In addition to the rail expansion, P&H is  adding a rail-car unloading system that will enable the company to unload a rail car off either track at 272mt/hour. It will also be able to unload an improperly loaded rail car or receive rail cars that were loaded elsewhere. Construction will begin in August with a completion date of September.

The installation of a fertilizer rail unload tunnel, capable of unloading a rail car at 20mt/hour, also is underway.
