'Rising Star' Chodorow to address Secure Rail Conference

Nick Chodorow, one of Progressive Railroading's 2017 Rising Stars, tomorrow will kick off the first session of the Secure Rail Conference in Orlando, Fla.

Chodorow, who serves as chief information officer at the Belt Railway Co. of Chicago, will be a panelist for a session on railroad cyber risk management.

He'll be joined by J. Alex Lang, CIO of Carload Express Inc.; Biff Myre, director of solutions at OnX Managed Services Inc.; and Ron Schlecht, managing partner at BTB Security.

The speakers will discuss how railroads and vendors are managing and decreasing risk related to the rise of the Internet of Things and positive train control.

Hosted by Progressive Railroading, Secure Rail is the only conference that addresses North American rail security from an organization perspective on physical and cybersecurity. The event runs April 5-6.
