Jaxport's immediate past chair Ed Fleming (right) passes the gavel to John Falconetti.Photo – Jacksonville Port AuthorityThe Jacksonville Port Authority's (Jaxport) earlier this week elected John Falconetti as chairman.
Falconetti is chairman and chief executive officer of Drummond Press, a Jacksonville print services provider. He previously served as Jaxport's chairman from 2014 to 2015.
He also has held leadership positions for numerous high-level state and local boards, according to a Jaxport news release.
Falconetti will chair the authority's board through Sept. 30, 2019.
Other newly elected board members include John Baker, who was named vice chairman; Jamie Shelton, treasurer; and Wendy Hamilton, secretary.
Jaxport, which this year logged its best July ever in container volumes, is served by CSX, Norfolk Southern Railway and Florida East Coast Railway.
